The Frenz Confidence Compass
Confidence first. Skills follow. Participation grows. Communities benefit.
Why has frenz developed the Confidence Compass
Learning how to hit a pickleball is relatively easy.
Having the confidence to walk through the door, join people you don't know, make mistakes and keep enjoying yourself can be rather harder.
That's why Frenz coaches confidence as well as pickleball.
How does the Confidence Compass sound in your head:
Made a mistake. The next ball is a fresh start
Feeling tense. Breathe. Reset.
Confidence dropped. Trust Yourself.
Something unexpected happened. Stay Curious.
Not progressing. Celebrate small wins.
Better pickleball is nice.Greater confidence matters more.
Self-Awareness
Recognising what you're feeling, what's helping and what might be getting in the way.
Self-Belief
Recognising what you can do and have already achieved, allowing success to build confidence.
Self-Compassion
Giving yourself permission to make mistakes, learn and enjoy playing without constantly judging yourself.
Self-Actualisation
Using that growing confidence to challenge yourself, develop and discover what you're capable of.
