Frenz • accessible pickleball

A game we can shape together.

Pickleball should offer a way to move, connect and enjoy playing. If the usual session does not work for you or your group, talk to us. We will listen and explore how to adapt the game.

We adapt the game to the player.

Frenz is a community pickleball group in South West Wales. We work with people who bring different abilities, access needs and levels of confidence to the court, including players with mobility or visual impairments. The starting point is what you want to do and what would help you take part.

That may mean changing the pace, equipment, court arrangement, coaching approach or way people play together. We plan with players and partner organisations, then check what actually works. We cannot promise that every venue or activity will suit everyone, but we will be honest about what is possible and look for practical options.

Plan a session with us

Are you a player, support worker, community group, school or organisation? Tell us who the session is for, what people hope to enjoy and what might make participation easier. We can discuss a taster, a small group session or a longer programme, subject to suitable space, support and a safe plan.

Help shape Audiball research

Audiball is an audible pickleball concept in development. We want to learn from blind and partially sighted people about locating a moving ball, enjoying the game and playing alongside others. Lived experience can help us ask better questions and test the right things.

We welcome expressions of interest from blind and partially sighted people, support organisations and others with relevant experience or expertise. There is no promise of an immediate play test or a finished product. Any future research or testing would be arranged separately with clear information, consent and appropriate safety planning.

Confidence first. Skills follow.

Our Confidence Compass guides how we welcome and support people: self-awareness, self-compassion, self-belief and self-actualisation. You do not need to arrive knowing the rules or feeling ready to keep up. Tell us what would help you feel comfortable starting.

Let's talk about what could work.

Email us about a session, a partnership or Audiball research. A short message is enough: tell us what interests you, where you are based and how you would prefer us to reply. You do not need to send a diagnosis or detailed medical information.

Or email frenzpickleball@gmail.com .

You can ask for information in a format that works for you. Contacting us is an enquiry; it does not sign you up for research or book a session.
