Frenz exists to help people participate, connect and build confidence. These standards explain how we protect that experience and what you can expect when you play, volunteer or work with us.

A handbook for playing well together

This is not a collection of rules designed to make community sport complicated. It is a practical explanation of how Frenz behaves, how decisions are made and what happens when somebody needs support or something goes wrong.

Our starting point: people should be able to take part without being embarrassed, excluded, intimidated or treated unfairly. Different ages, abilities, confidence levels and support needs are part of Frenz—not exceptions to it.

How Frenz works

Frenz is a volunteer-led community organisation. The constitution explains its purpose, membership, decision-making, finances and the responsibilities of the Lead Organiser and Team Leads.

Playing with Frenz

Courtesy, patience and safe play matter more than winning a point. Our code explains the conduct expected from players, volunteers, coaches, spectators and parents—and how complaints are handled.

Safeguarding everyone

Children and adults at risk have the right to participate safely. Concerns are taken seriously, recorded appropriately and referred to the correct safeguarding service when necessary.

Reporting a concern

Nobody needs proof before raising a safeguarding concern. The reporting procedure explains what to record, who to contact and when the police or local authority must be approached directly.

Safe participation

Frenz checks courts, equipment and session arrangements and responds to changing risks. Reasonable adjustments support participation without removing the enjoyment of play.

People in trusted roles

Coaches and volunteers are assessed according to what they actually do. Safeguarding learning, references and DBS eligibility are considered carefully rather than treated as a box-ticking exercise.

Privacy and dignity

Frenz collects only the information it reasonably needs, explains why it is used and keeps it only for an appropriate period. Optional communication and image permissions remain genuine choices.

If somebody is in immediate danger or urgent medical assistance is required, call 999. Do not wait for a response from Frenz.

Contact the relevant local-authority safeguarding service or the police directly. Frenz does not currently have a separate independent safeguarding officer.
