Who are frenz
frenz activities
Frenz Pickleball Swansea is an award-winning community organisation dedicated to delivering inclusive, recreational pickleball across Swansea. As holders of the “Getting Swansea Active Award,” we specialise in removing barriers to participation by offering fun, non-competitive sessions that welcome all ages and abilities, with a particular focus on the 50+ age group.
We run sessions seven days a week across multiple venues, including Swansea LC, Morriston LC, Olchfa School, Reynoldston Community Hall, Penclawdd Community Centre, and Hazel Court, where our specialist Mobility Pickleball supports less agile seniors. Our programmes reach children, working adults, retirees, people with disabilities, and neurodiverse participants.
“pickleball is for everyone, and everyone is welcome at frenz”
Frenz delivers specialist sessions at Singleton Hospital for children with neuromuscular conditions, has partnered with Inclusivability, Special Olympics Wales, and Disability Wales, and is pioneering an audio ball with Swansea University and WIPHAS to revolutionise access for visually impaired athletes.
We also raise funds for charities including Maggie’s, De la Beche Park, and Diabetes UK through events like “Disco Dinking for Diabetes.”
Our impact is clear: improved physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connection. At Frenz, our guiding principle remains simple but powerful: pickleball is for everyone, and everyone is welcome at frenz.
